  • All candidates' permanent addresses MUST be over 60 miles from this facility. UnityPoint is not willing to accept local candidates at this time.
  • As a member of the interdisciplinary team, contributes professional nursing knowledge and skills in the provision and management of care to patients through the application of the nursing process.
  • EMR - EPIC
  • Avg. caseload - We average 35-50 cases per day. Our expectation for turnovers is less than 20 minutes.
  • Special equipment - We have 3 Davinci robots, we use Stealth technology for Neuro navigation and we use primarily Synthes or Stryker for ortho trauma. We don't do many ortho joints.
  • How many suites - We have 16 OR's. We run from 12-14 routinely. As a level 1 trauma center, we reserve space for traumas.
  • Service lines - Cardiac/ PV, Neuro, ortho (primarily trauma), robotics, gyn, uro, general, pediatrics, transplants. We do a small volume of ENT and plastic procedures.
    • Job Requirements
    • 2+ years of current OR experience
    • Scrub and Circulating experience
    • Strong experience in majority of cases including ortho, neuro, trauma, abdominal
    • Level I experience
      • Schedule Information
      • The call for weekends is from end of shift on Friday until 0630am Monday.
