UnityPoint is not willing to accept local candidates at this time.A Day in the Life - Curtis - Registered Nurse (vimeo.com)As a member of the interdisciplinary team, contributes professional nursing knowledge and skills in the provision and management of care to patients through the application of the nursing process.EMR--- EPICAvg. caseload - We average 35-50 cases per day.-- Our expectation for turnovers is less than 20 minutes.Special equipment - We have 3 Davinci robots, we use Stealth technology for Neuro navigation and we use primarily Synthes or Stryker for ortho trauma.-- We don't do many ortho joints.--How many suites - We have 16 OR's.-- We run from 12-14 routinely.-- As a level 1 trauma center, we reserve space for traumas.Service lines --- Cardiac/ PV, Neuro, ortho (primarily trauma), robotics, gyn, uro, general, pediatrics, transplants.-- We do a small volume of ENT and plastic procedures.--Scrub or Circulate - both would be preferred.Other - the call for weekends is from end of shift on Friday until 0630am Monday.---- Submission Requirements 2+ years of current OR experienceScrub and Circulating experience--strong experience in majority of cases including ortho, neuro, trauma, abdominalLevel I experience-- Certification Requirements BLS (AHA) State License Requirements Iowa Compact Allowed About the Facility Iowa Methodist Medical Center, a service of UnityPoint Health - Des Moines, was established in 1901 in a single building.
