  • As a member of the interdisciplinary team, contributes professional nursing knowledge and skills in the provision and management of care to patients through the application of the nursing process.

  • Traveler will be required to float across all campuses; Iowa Methodist MC, Iowa Lutheran & Iowa Methodist.
    • Job Requirements
    • 2 years current L&D and/or OB experience.
    • BLS, ACLS, NRP, FHM.
    • Ability to attend deliveries.
    • Willingness to float to OB/L&D on-site, or to ILH/IMMC.
    • Travel experience strongly encouraged.
      • Schedule Information
      • OT/Holiday Multiplier: 1.25x.
      • NBO: 8 hrs.
      • Overtime: If scheduled 36-40 hrs/week, OT billed after 40 hrs. If scheduled 48 hrs/week, OT billed after 48 hrs.
        • Unit Specific Information
        • The 12-bed maternity center includes private labor, delivery, recovery, and postpartum rooms, allowing mothers to stay in one room for the duration of their stay.
        • There is also a newborn nursery with one continuing care neonatal bed.
        • Offering experienced staff and 24/7 on-staff neonatal support in partnership with Blank Children's Hospital.
        • Methodist West was the first and only hospital in Central Iowa to employ Patient Care Facilitators.
        • The surgery department contains 14 private, pre-operative rooms, six leading-edge operating rooms, and an endoscopy suite.
